Traveling by train is the most convenient way to get around in Japan. I've spent a lot of time over the years looking out of a train window. It is a part of my return home to Japan when I leave New York City. The scenery and the scale are so different from the US. From the window I can see rice fields and small farms in the countryside. People in the US are amazed to see the difference in size and what these small farms grow and distribute locally. It’s my home, it's amazing.
