A cluster of cooked red chilli peppers

I love discovering restaurants with small, unassuming doorways that open into worlds of color, remarkable ingredients, and endless possibilities for sharing small plates over a long afternoon.

Spain invites you to slow your pace. Fish fresh from the sea, slices of jamón, olives, and vegetables glistening with olive oil. Meals are not hurried, they are meant to be enjoyed and shared.

Being a guest in a traditional restaurant in another country is a peaceful experience for me. There is no responsibility beyond giving the food—and the people who prepared it—full attention. Such a pleasure.
